VR BOOTCAMP
DISCOVER THE TRUE REALITY OF VIRTUAL REALITY FOR YOUR ORGANISATION

Imaging Mind is excited to offer you the Virtual Reality Bootcamp. Virtual reality (VR) is being heralded as the next big medium, but exactly how does it work? Why would you use virtual reality within your organisation? And how would you apply it?

This multi-layered exploration of the current virtual reality landscape will offer you everything you truly need to know about virtual reality. Learn the basics about the hardware, the software, its next of kin in augmented and mixed reality, possibilities in communication, and the accompanying trends.
Then dive deeper and learn about VR's strengths, its weaknesses, its pitfalls, its key components, and what makes or breaks a virtual reality experience. Finally, learn to apply this knowledge while brainstorming your first viable virtual reality concept.

You'll have access to the latest hardware to try out, with plenty of demonstrations of the good, the bad, and the ugly. Through hands-on experiences you'll learn how to harness the potential of virtual reality and to apply it to your own organisation and use it as a bonafide communication medium.
The three phases
of the VR Bootcamp
PHASE 1
THE STATE OF VIRTUAL REALITY

This entry level phase teaches you the basics about virtual reality. From jargon to hardware, from installation to software, and from past till present. This crash course makes sure you're up to speed on the context of virtual reality, its history, and why it's finally happening now.
PHASE 2
THE VR TOOLBOX

After learning about what VR is, this phase takes you one step further and teaches you what makes good virtual reality experiences tick. Through hands-on experiences of good and bad examples of VR, explaining why they (don't) work, you will learn to properly assess virtual reality experiences.
PHASE 3
DESIGN YOUR OWN REALITY

Now you understand VR, and have a good understanding of what makes a good VR experience, it is time to apply those newly learned skills. In a high-intensity prototyping session, you will use your newly acquired knowledge to craft a prototype - without having to write a single line of code.
WRAP-UP

With your skillset complete, you are ready to tackle the challenges of your own organisation and learn how to properly apply virtual reality. Where can VR add value? Where will it detract from your core business? What will make sense to your clients and/or customers? You have uncovered why and how your organisation can unlock the true potential of virtual reality instead of merely having a ticked box on your technology list.
